Beauty

Guys say she was a beauty, and women say oh how it must be to look like that.

The bible says we were created in God's image both male and female. I would like to share what the Lord has taught me about beauty.

Beauty is what comes out of women when she finally feels that she can trust you with her heart.

I used to look at everything through the eye's of the world like most people do and I judged women the way most men do. Through eye's of lust only looking at what the world says would be an amazing sexual experience, with no thought of content of character.

The thing that really gets to me is the way Satan has weaved this into our culture over the years and now it's just second nature to raise our daughters and tell them garbage like not to over eat, not that we are concerned about their health, but that they won't be able to get a man.

If as parents we put half the energy into teaching our sons what real beauty is, and teaching them to look for God's beauty in the girls they pursue. If we start teaching our children instead of giving them to the local networks or inter-net to teach we could impact their thinking.

We must turn back to God as a nation and let him guide us through his spirit in training our children.

I always thought that by in his own image he was talking about physical appearance but, I now know that the beauty of God is deep within the heart's of our women just waiting for a real man to come and protect it, to nurture it and to allow it to come to full blossom through trust.

Do you know him?

I know for me it is all too common to say "I know someone". Let's say one of your buddy's say to you "Hey, do you know Joe from church?" "Why sure I do, I sat next to him and his family for 2 years and we go to a home group together." What is Joe's mom's name? Where did Joe go to school? Does Joe have a dog? What's his name?

My point is this, that we really don't know Joe, we know of him. We know him well enough to say a few nice things about him but we really don't know him.

How many times have we been asked, "Do you know so and so?" Our natural reaction is to say yes because we know of them. It's like some kind of knee jerk reaction in our culture to say we know someone and it only gets worse the more popular the person is.

So I have said all this to say, do you know Jesus? Are you saved? Are you going to go to heaven or hell when you die?

Mathew 7:21-23 says {21} that not everyone who says to me Lord, Lord will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my father who is in heaven. {22} Many will say to me on that day, Lord Lord did we not prophesy in your name and drive out demons in your name and perform many miracles? {23} Then I will tell them plainly, I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers.

So the question is, do you know him? I know for me, I went down in my local church and confessed my sins and was told I was saved in 1984, then I spent the next 18 years in the worst drug addiction and sexual sin that the devil could come up with, all the time thinking I was saved and would some day go to heaven all because I had gone down when the pastor said do you want to be saved?

Then in 2002 I was sitting smoking pot and reading the bible and I came to this scripture and my life has never been the same. I knew with out a doubt that I did not know this man and that had I died right then I would have gone to hell. I believed that the bible is God's word and I believed in Jesus, but it was no different that I believe Joe has a dog or a mom, but I didn't know Him and this scripture makes it clear.

We have been deceived and I truly hope you will take a look at your life, though your life may not be as extreme of an example you still must know the truth and that is we all assume because we are acquainted with someone that we know them. That is just not the case.

So the question is do you know him?

I'm in Hot Pursuit

Not like Roscoe P. Coltrane "ouch I dated myself" anyway what I am talking about is relationships and being the man that you were created to be.

God was very intentional in making us want a woman. The desire to find a mate is what makes the world go around, and from the time we hit puberty we are trying to pursue the girl of our dreams.

So why is it that after you find the woman you want to spend your life with, you pursue her and capture her heart and then marry her. Then why is it that you let the pursuit stop?

Did God all the sudden send a messenger from heaven and tell you that you no longer had to pursue her?

Are you so caught up in your life and your selfish desires that you don't think that you need to pursue her or that she didn't need you to pursue her?

God created you to be her knight in shinning armor, he created you to come to her rescue and to be willing to fight for her. She was designed by God to need you and to want you to pursue her, from
the time she is a little girl she dreams of the day you will come for her.

So the real question is can you be the man that God created you to be? Can you come to the rescue and will you fight for her honor , her love and mostly her heart.

Poser

Are you a poser? Have you ever acted a certain way so that you would get a desired result? Yes, of course we have. Our parents teach us from an early age that we should act right and look right to obtain favor. Its because we are all hiding the real us and we don't want to be disliked or get hurt, maybe if your like me you just don't want to hurt anyone else.

One thing is for sure, we are a bunch of poser's hiding behind whatever we want people to belive we are. We are people hiding behind what the world has told us it wants to see in us.
I encourage you come out from behind your facade and let the world see the real you that God designed, He designed only one of you and now your keeping that hid behind what you think the world wants.

Isn't it more important what God wants and don't you think he yearns to see the real you he created? I know for me it breaks my heart to watch my kids act like someone they're not just to fit in.

Punctuation

I ask you this when you come to the end of your days and you face death will your life end with a period? will you just be done, end of story, case closed?

I tell you this that if you have given your life over to the hands of God and received salvation through his son Jesus then your life is really ending with a comma, You are just about to start really living and the best days are still ahead.

You only have a small break in an eternal sentence that goes on in eternity with him and will never end. The difference is you will no longer have to deal with worries and pain, you will discover joy, peace and contentment like no human can explain or has ever experienced.

So the question really is have you secured your future through Jesus.

One of 11

This morning as I set with 10 of my brothers and we talked about the great works our father has done in each of our lives it occurred to me that this must have been how the eleven disciples felt when they were called to go out and share the good news.

The excitement that God has chosen us and that his love for each of us is enough to carry us through the challenges that lay ahead should be enough for us to go and do the job that has been given to us, but we still face an overwhelming task that brings on uncertainty which breeds fear and fear is the opposite of trust and faith.

Do you have unbelief in you? are you willing to trust God really trust? did you ever wonder if we really have a concept of what it means to trust, with the world we live in it's hard not to get jaded and go through life with a false trust; just telling people that we trust God but in truth we hold on to things that seem small and insignificant to us, but to God they are a true representation of our heart.

The unbelief we hold in our hearts that we don't even know about keeps us from fully trusting God, and until we are able to turn our lives over to him and ask God to reveal in us that unbelief, then we will never truly know what it means to trust God, and we will never reach our true God given potential.

Please take a moment and repent, and ask God to reveal any unbelief in you and receive his forgiveness, because he loves you so much, you are such a treasure to him, He has such a wonderful life planned for you if you will just trust him.

The Arrow

Have you missed the mark? have you wandered aimlessly not knowing where you were going or what you are doing? Do you have a goal or a destination in mind? Me too !

Let me take a minute to ask you have you ever been able to really trust? Scary thought huh! If you have been around more than a few minutes you have been let down and betrayed.

Let me help you out; you no longer have to wander or wonder, God has a plan for your life and you can trust completely in him he has sent his only son to die on the cross as a
sacrifice for the sins of man, If you believe and fully trust in him and commit to a personal relationship with him you will be saved for all eternity. Pretty sweet deal right , no you don't have to fill out an application to qualify or have the right family heritage it yours a free gift to all man kind.

Now back to being the arrow, have you ever seen an archer who could really shoot an arrow right where he wanted? It is an amazing thing the flight of the arrow is
controlled by the balance of the archer "God" who created it "Genesis 1:27" it is aimed at a specific target and through the power "The Holy Spirit" stored in the bow it is propeled toward a target. but sometimes after the arrow "You" is created time and aging it takes on a different angle and it doesn't fly straight anymore so the archer "God"must take on the task of heating and bending it to straighten it so it will hit the exact spot the archer "God" desires.

If you are struggling in areas of your life it is because you have become bent and the archer "God" is trying to straighten you out, you are no longer hitting where he is aiming for you to be and he must work on you to
achieve the purpose for which he created you.

You were designed by God to do a specific task and he has given you everything you need to do it, but you must be willing to allow him to use you. As we go into this journey together I hope we can learn together what that purpose is and how to better allow him to use us.
